Asinine Alliteration

I went to Seoul/Incheon, Korea ages ago*.  So, ignore my attire and sorry about any false hope I may have generated in Korea being warm right now.  It’s not.  But, it is Fall!  I love Fall and sweaters!

If there is one thing to say about Korea, it’s the food.  Oh my goodness…  Korean food is a cuisine that tends to disappoint in Singapore.  Japanese!  Thai! Indian!  So many good foods in Singapore, but Korean just fails in comparison.  It’s mind boggling.  Visiting my family and being in a country of really great food meant I ate from morning well into the late evening…everyday…for a week.  I had to follow my uncle in the early mornings to run on the track next to his garden.  He’d wake me up at 6am (not my idea of a vacation…though it was his preferred gardening time) and we’d drive out to his garden in a more suburban part of the city.  I wish I had a photo of the Aunties I ran past.  They showed up every morning with huge sunglasses + visor + track suit + Sketchers + thin gloves.  I was the young and careless girl running around absorbing the sun into my skin, in addition to burning off calories from drinking Banana Milk and rice cakes.    

All of my activities revolved around going somewhere to eat, or finding something to eat once I got there.  When I met up with my friends - we added an additional chore of figuring out where/what we were going to drink.  Beer?  Soju?  Ah, both!  Why not?
